08 Raven Pricing???

Hi, I have the opportunity to purchase a 08 FZ6 raven from a private seller. The bike has ~7000 miles and is in great condition. He is asking $4700 and is firm on his price. Is this too high? I like the bike but I am unsure of the price. Any advice is appreciated.

avg. retail price in your area is about $4690. is it all stock or are there add-ons with it? depending on how many other FZs may be available in your area and if it is all stock you might be able to talk him down to $4500. Its only worth what you feel comfortable paying for it. I bought an 06 for $3200 and have probably spent $1000-1500 in mods and add-ons to make it a little more personal for me.

Thanks for your response. It comes with 2 extra windshields and 1 additional seat. But everything else is stock.

I got an 09 raven a month ago, perfect condition, 5800 miles, stock for $4000, soooo...

Granted, he cut me an alumni discount, as he graduated from the same college I'm currently going to, and I wasn't sketchy like the dude that showed up and wanted to test drive it with no license and never ridden a bike before. Lol!

I've been looking for about a month, this is easily the best bike i have looked at. The weather here has been warming up so I'm only expecting prices to go up.

doesn't seem to bad too me, but then the same bike would cost around $2000 more here

supersports tend to have a higher premium, especially if they are in a nice colour. they usually have a lot more shiny thigns like slipper clutches and adjustable suspension though

I bought my 08 FZ6 raven last year with just under 5k miles, perfect condition, a travel bag, a front brake lock, a cover, an extra set of bulbs, a can of chain wax, a fender elimininator kit installed, and frame sliders installed for $4100.

The bike has two new tires(300 miles) so factoring that in I feel Like its a pretty fair price. Thanks for the help guys.

A year ago today I paid $4300USD for an 08 with 4188 miles on it. All stock, tires at 50% tread.

The question is; do you feel like its a good deal for you? If it is and you like it, don't keep looking!

I looked hard for bikes a little over 3 months before I found my bike. As far as price is concerned. If you feel like its your bike and you thing the price is good pull the trigger. There will always be someone that will sell a bike for less it just might take time.
