Anything that is:

1) Exciting and short-ish

Or

2) Well edited and properly cinematic

I watch videos on this road a lot. I always look for any US west coast FZ6ers. Don't see many, a few FZ1's though. Honestly I could just listen to the vids and be happy.

Mulholland Riders Feb 12, 2012 - YouTube

This guy never posts me in his videos because I never push my luck in that corner like the rest of the crazies...In fact, thats not even the best section of that road, just the most popular.

^most of the people riding quickly aren't crazy and pushing their luck.

Improve your riding.

Have more fun.

Be more safe.

:)

I love pissing contests so I'll play... that section in the video gets gravel and water running over it regularly, especially in the months we are in right now. This is also a decreasing radius turn with a weird camber change; causing people to set their entry speed wrong or lean too far too early, all the time. And to add the cherry on top, people lowsiding there carved big lines on the road surface..:cheer: It's just a sketchy turn overall.

You are suggesting I become a better rider so I can take bigger risks on sections of public streets that I know to be particularly sketchy...I think i'll pass, but thanks anyway! :Flip:

Why does this have to be negative?

My point is simple:

No need to apply a blanket label of "crazies" to people going quickly. Their comfort level might be higher. Sure theres a lot of people being sketchy because they're pushing too hard for their ability. But there's probably just as many riding to 60% and just enjoying themselves though it looks like they're being wreck less if you base your observation solely on speed.

No pissIng contest man. I'm not pretending to be a pro rider. I'm pretty slow in the grand scheme of things. But I have learned that it is possible to improve and considerably raise your "safe corner speed" to a pretty quick pace.

So when I hear people calling people crazy and wreck less, I tell them work on your riding and the day may come when you see their pace as pretty reasonable. That corner may be tricky, but that just means people should be more honest with themselves about their riding ability when coming through it.

No bird flipping smilies required.

Cheers
