Yeah....I need a life....all work and no play makes OMG_WTF something something.
I just realized I had these vacation days. They expire July 1st.

I was thinking about leaving Fri 24th - Mon 27th.

Any ideas?
So far I'm thinking about meandering my way down to Memphis.
Sounds dumb, right?
Then help!

ever seen Quebec City? as close as you can get to Europe this side of the Atlantic

edit: looks to be about 200 miles closer than Memphis, depending where you are in Maryland of course

I have several times. But my most memorable moment was in the middle of February while I was out working on a tour with a band called Mudvayne or something like that. As we pulled up to our hotel, the bays of our bus was frozen shut. It was like -20 C.

You guys speak a lot of french over there too.

Wow that's a beautiful skyline!

it is a great place to spend a day or 2, you can park the bike and see the
place on foot (the Old City)....great food, culture, open air entertainment,
I'd highly recommend it, and a tiny bit of French goes a long way, you just
have to try a bit and all is good

minus 20 in Feb would be considered mild there :)
late June would be a perfect time to visit Quebec....it is a French province,
and Quebec City is the capital, so yeah, it's pretty French there :)

hmm, drive the Appalachians maybe? i know theres a good trail that runs down um (can't recall the name) but supposed to be one of the better camp/rides on the east coast. Watch out for bears though (lone)

Ooh, how exciting!! Keep us posted on where you end up going. You may even find some company along the way! :D

that's an easy trip to plan.

go to deals gap. i just got back from there. it is heaven on earth. tail of the dragon is soooo much fun and all the roads in the area are amazing aswell. it ruined riding in ontario for me.

Planning a trip the Newfoundland and Labrador in August/September.
Doing the Trans-Labrador Hwy.
Hopefully I won't end up like this guy:

Don't like the big city... Hit north to Mont-Tremblant, Quebec. It's a big resort town in the middle of mountain, ski ressort, golf club and about everything you can dream of if you like outdoors. Camping too!!! Even have a great race track... maybe they can let you ride, they have bike class. Mario Duhamel used to give driving class there (Miguel brother) I talk to him few years ago and he told me to go ride the track with him...

And yep! French speaking there too. It's kind of a long shot from West Palm Beach... but nice ride from where you are.

Bon Voyage mon ami! (I'm from Montreal...)

Tremblant is beautiful in the summer, did some riding around there
last summer, if you get tired of camping and want a room for a
break the Tremblant village has great deals in the off-ski season too,
seriously I would highly recommend Quebec for summer touring,
the culture and lifestyle are awesome, and this is one Anglo who
totally understands why they want to preserve it

OMG WTF, this is simple. A ride down through the Shenadoah Valley of Virginia (RT11 is wonderful and I-81 right there for quicker by-passes) and go to Deals Gap, NC "The Tail of the Dragon" (Goodgle it). This is a must ride for any motorcyclist...check out the video below. I went there back in late April and am going back down in August. It is some of the best motorcycling/camping/lodging in the country. If you go, hit me up and let me know how it went. If you want advice on anything there, I will gladly help. [email protected].

It's on the list...

By the way, with regards to Deals Gap, another great way to get there is straight down the Blue Ridge Parkway. Amazingly beautiful with lots of twisty roads, scenery and elevation change. Couple of Breweries just south of Charlottesville for a cold frosty one on the way too...and tons of wineries if that is more to your liking. Good luck.
