I was involved in another accident this morning on my way to drill. Stopped at the light, light turned green. Move forward a little then BAM! Got thrown, got up. Driver reverse, about 200ft. Made a Y-turn, drove away opposite direction as I chased him down with full uniform on foot.

Driver left behind his front bumber with his license plate. Police tracked him down at his address. (Good job po-po!).

Back pain, soreness all over...Man I'm so pissed off. This is my second accident in 2 months! I was about to put the bike up in a few days too. Should I just give up motorcycling all together? Don't answer that. Answer is 'Hell NO!'. Tcmalker shall return.

Get checked out at the local med facilities.... shock and such will mask your injuries for days. Make sure the driver is cited for hit and run. Make sure you get a copy of the report.

Sorry to hear you got popped.

Wait.

He hit you so hard that his bumper fell off? Was the car already in poor physical condition?

You know what I mean, one of those cars where you look at it and it screams, "No insurance!"

Believe it or not, he has insurance, First Acceptance Insurance Company, Inc. (legit company?) I took a picture of the bumper and will post later once i figure out how to transfer pic from phone. This guy has no valid DL, instead he produced a Mexico Consulate ID Card. . Anyway, I'm glad the po-po caught his ass.

Don't know if his bumper fell off when he hit me or when he reversed trying to get away. He hit me hard enough though, I'm feeling something wrong with my back.

You definitely need to get checked out then if you didn't already.

Sorry you got hit.

What's the bike look like?

The twist ties probally broke upon impact

Seriously though tcmalker, glad you were able to get up and chase his a$$ down! Amazing what adereline can do!

I work with Spinal Cord Injuries (SCI) all the time at work. You need to go seek medical attention and start physical therapy to avoid further muscle spasm and pain/discomfort. Additionally, his insurance company should be covering all of this, plus your pain and suffering. Get a lawyer to go after him. Normally I wouldn't say to be this aggressive, but the jackhole did a hit and run to a motorcyclist. That's unacceptable.

Glad you are ok man, The ID should be legit, Cause i have one of my own. The Mexican council make you go through hell to obtain one. That was stupid of him to Hit and Run tho, now he is facing charges. The worst that could had happened to him was get his car towed and stored for 30 days and a ticket for no license. When I got pulled over years a go that's what I got, which cost me $2500, and no car for 30 days.

My beautiful Leo Vince :( installed only 4 days ago. I was thinking of removing the fender anyway and installing a hinge license plate :D, any ideas on how I can do this?

Make sure to have the bike fully inspected at the dealership. Possible that the rear subframe got damaged in this accident.

I'm glad your mostly alright! My question is did you get rear ended, or did you get hit on the side? I'm trying to figure out how the bumper came off!

Got rear ended. I think his bumper got caught in the Leo Vince bracket (it's bent outward instead of inwards, weird) and when he tried to escape by reversing, the bumper tore right off.

Make sure to have the bike fully inspected at the dealership. Possible that the rear subframe got damaged in this accident.

Going to drop off the bike off tomorrow at a dealership.

Mother effer!! Glad you're mostly OK! Definitely get yourself checked out. His insurance should cover all of your expenses, medical and bike repair.

Darn, man - glad to hear you are mostly ok! You definitely need to get checked first and then check the frame of the bike.

FZ6 may lose in a fight to a car, but it looks like it will at least scratch some identifying information off the offender. ;)

I think it's time you started taking the bus :BLAA:

I was thinking more along the lines of one of these. :p

It's sad to read this. It really sucks.

The first good thing is that you're OK.
The second one is that the offender was caught.

Good luck,
