I don't mean to poop on your post :spank: but you've got me curious. Your description says the bike is a 2007. All signs point to a 2005 or earlier. Are the UK models that much different than here in the US??

its got an 07 plate on, and as far as I can tell, the mods he has will fit the 05 no problem anyway.

in the UK the FZ6 Fazer ran from 03 to late 08-early 09 without many dramatic changes, Bar the FZ6 Naked (introduced in 04), which only had cosmetic differences.

That swingarm is pre 06 and the paint scheme is 05 or earlier. The fairing is pre-07.

I was mostly looking at the silver engine, silver forks, windscreen shape, front fairing shape, and swing arm design. Here in the US the engine was black starting in 06, the forks were black starting in 07 the front fairing changed in 07 as well. It might be the difference between the US and the UK models though.

the different countries have different colour schemes, the new XJ6 Diversion F in the Uk, which is the new XJ6R in the states, is only available in midnight black and viper blue in the UK.

UPDATE: The newer swingarm models didnt hit UK roads until September 07 when the new 57 reg plates came out with the new models etc.

I suspect that it is a 2006 but registered in 2007 at the garage (previous years model), it certainly has the characteristics of what I have understood to be a 2006 or earlier model, but I'm not too sure about the exact date of the change.

Thats exactly it, but we have to regestrations per year, so technically it is an 07 model here, but in the US it wont be.

We've had 2 reg's per year since september 2001 and the introduction of the "temporary" plate system. so we have a reg released on march the first, which is **09 *** then on september 1st, we have the "fifty" plate i.e.
**59 ***

But yeah, I get what you're saying about the years.

Cloggy is quite right on this model but I think it did finish production early 07. The reason I know this is because I was offered the old model minus 1,000 discount as it was the last one and was registered in 07.

They also had the 07 S2 fazer in the show room which I wanted, but I asked for ABS so had to wait till the end of march for it. Got to say it was well worth the wait after doing my home work on the this model.

Hi guys well thanks for the comments on my bike and for the posted links on ebay just goes to show what a bargain my bike is especially when there is an 04 reg bike with hardly any add ons and they want £3500 for it !!!!

To confirm my bike is an 06 model on 07 plate I think I prefer the silver frame and forks to the black on later models, anyway and the scopions sound stunning on it !

Also i forgot to mention the bike has had a brand new Yuasa battery on it this yeah no cheap rubbish!
