Hi Guys, Just bought a 2002 FZS 600 Fazer and absolutely love it... but there is one thing I would like to change on it ... this is what I am trying to achieve ... the underseat storage is quite good but I would like to try and gain more space on the bike so I can throw a couple of bottles of water and few sarnies in the bike and that's me sorted for the day ..

At the moment can get a couple of bits under the seat, but its a hassle to take the seat off when I stop and fiddle to repack everything etc. I reckon if the standard seat was replaced with a single seat then I could have a lockable seat cowl, which will keep the lines on the bike without having to put an ugly topbox etc and will enable me to keep my lunch in the cowl.

Anyone got any good solutions? I see there are a few solo seat covers that fit over the seat, but cant find a solution to convert to a single seat + cowl with storage .. Cheers :)

I wear a backpack when I ride. It's not always most comfortable, but it's the only thing besides a tank/tail bag that will hold my tool/tire kit...

I like the idea but it seems to me that you might have to custom make something for that. I personally use a magnetic tank bag to hold the stuff I need for the bike. Like the backpack however I can keep stuff in it for just the bike and grab it when I go for a ride. It's my glove box. :P

Thanks, considered back packs and tank bags also, just be lovely to get that storage on the bike, hidden and maintain the lines ... I bet someone, somwhere has done something similar .. somewhere ...

I use a tail pack which works but makes the bike look a bit tatty, I have thought about back packs but my concern is in the event of an accident the back pack could cause a lot of damage to your back maybe even break your back.
I like the idea of a rear lockable compartment I have not seen anything about like that I would imagine it would take quite a lot of development to do a good job of it.

try corbin, they have a few storage solution for you and it may work for your needs. One I remember is almost bullet shape and doubles as a backrest, decent size, it'll fit wallet, H2O bottles , etc. BTW, what's a sarnie?

I had to look it up, Codeblue. It was bugging the heck outta me what a sarnie is!

The short and skinny? It's a sandwich. LOL.

Someone help me out here... Awhile back, one member was touting his tailsection storage invention that sort of looked like a huge tail passenger seat cowl. It was a little pricey if I remember though...Anyone else recall?

Great find, good to know somone else had the same idea and wanted/is putting it into production, shame its not for FZS, but can understand why its being aimed at the later versions, maybe I should just get a newer model, then i can carry even more 'sarnies' :)
