We have the same "Big Brother" technology being installed in SA...Currently, the SA Police force are working on putting camera's at every set of traffic ligghts, and have already got at most, which automatically read every vehicles rego plate, and if the car is unregistered, you get a fine in the mail!!!

All Police cars are also to be fitted with same technology....Warrant dodgers, unregistered cars, suspended license drivers, etc...watch out! there is soonto be no escape!

My Brother in Law, is actually the guy who has been setting up the Computer support for this system! from what he tells me, they are going to take it a lot further...or try to anyway....let's see how many civil liberties get walked all over in the process!

So today was another rainy ride in and as per yesterday, there were a few accidents on the way.

My rant is that there was a tiny 2-car rear-ender in the opposite direction. From what I could see it was extremely minor, yet the two parties felt the need to exchange their details right in the middle of the 3-lane main road that leads to the CBD. Genius, nice one guys.

How about driving to the nearest side street and then getting your notepads out? Not only are you causing a traffic jam, but there's a good chance you or your car will get hit!

Ha it was Victoria Rd, could only imagine the same on Parramatta Rd. Except replace "notepads" with "weapons".
 
New rant (somebody stop me, must be having a bad month!). So creeping up to a red light and you find another biker has done the same. You're both potentially in the way of a car so you're primed for when the light goes green to clear out.

This morning light goes green, and Mr Green Street Triple just putts up through 1st gear to about 30km/hr, then casually changes to 2nd, then slowly accellerates. Meanwhile an already angry V8 driver is so up my bum it's not funny and I'm stuck behind green meany! I had to gas it and change lanes.

If you lane split or pull in front of a car to get pole position you need to be prepared to roost imo. Otherwise stick in the line of cars.

Good rant. I'm the green street triple, that's why I don't lane split. I know better ;)
 
Its a Street Triple it probably doesn't go any faster!
Like you said though if you filter to the head of traffic be prepared to take off fast.
I rarely filter normally, and never when another bike is there.
Although occasionally I get someone who filters up and ends up next to me, I always make sure I really take off fast (since I was there first) and get out of everyones way.

Its one of my main gripes with bicyclists... they shouldn't filter because they are slower than traffic, and it just means the same people overtake them again and again, and since most are useless douchebags who think they own the road its often them filtering, then moving into the middle of a lane and holding up traffic.

This aside it has been wet lately, and being careful at sets of lights is always good, the build up of oil and crap can be pretty dangerous.

Next time you'll know to kick him over as he's on one of those pansy Street Triples and spit on him, then take off! :D

I don't think Street Triples are pansy bikes. They are pretty good bikes. It was the rider.

Now, if it was a cruiser.... :D
 
I'm joking, the Street Triple is the FZ6's biggest (and only real naked competitor) and there was a massive explosion of them last year.

I've also seen cruisers keep much better pace than alot of other riders despite their disadvantage (bad taste) :P
 
Filthy :( Im not going to comment on the game cos I don't want to be banned for my foul language.

I watched the Origin in the local Harvey Norman last night. Well fed & watched the game on a 50 inch 3D TV :rockon: Flipping awesome.

Im not going to rush out & buy one until I can watch it without the Raybans. When they do come out.......... WOW. I cant wait to watch the GP & SBK racing. Gonna be freakin awesome :thumbup:

Bring back Tommy & the cattle dog :rant:
