New upgrades for the Subbie

Had a fun little project today on the new Subbie. Got a killer deal on some speakers for the doors. Only had time to do the fronts. What a tremendous difference it made!!! It was a hoot fading from the front to rear speakers. Sounding like going from a full blown orchestra to a tin can symphony! If you look at the stock magnets, it is no surprise. Can't wait to finish to the rest of the stereo system. Anyways, just thought I would share my fun for today.

Nice, what model of Subaru do you have? They are all great cars.

I used to have an 05 Sti, I miss it greatly. It was a great car, yeah I remember the factory speaker with the York pepermint patty sized drivers.

We got the 2010 Forester Limited. Really enjoy it so far. Just looked at some images of the 05 Sti's. Those look schweeet!

Subarus are great cars; the same can not be said for their sound systems. Good upgrade :thumbup:

Finished out the stereo. Turned it on and..... Holy shnighkies!! This thing sounds ridiculous. I have probably done a dozen complete systems and this one leaves them in the dust.:rockon: Very pleased with the results. One of the cool highlights was the Axxess steering wheel control adapter that enables full functionality of the audio controls on the wheel. The garmin works great, too. Would highly recommend this head unit to anyone considering a double din with navigation/bluetooth/rear camera/satellite(s) radio/usb/ipod/dvd capabilities. Here are a few highlight pics.

Yeah, I was impressed with just the small amount of Dynomat I used at the speaker area and the circular cutout for the middle of the doors. I can tell a significant difference.:rockon:
