Windshield Idea - Vinyl decals

So after seeing that almost all new Yamaha sport bikes (except the FZ6) have a theme on the front fairing of a stripe above the right headlight and the model name above the left, I came up with this idea.

this is just a first draft, if you will. The final would be in white likely, as the black would not show up very well. I suppose I could do other colors to match the paint of the bike too.

So, what do you think?

Very cool! Wished I woulda thought of that when I did my windscreen....

Also, I haven't forgotten you on those lowering pegs. I'm going to try and see Speedy tomorrow.

can you post an example of what you're trying to achieve? i haven't looked close enough to see what you're talking about. and maybe it's late, but it's hard for me to translate that to a bike. be nice if you had done it in white and had a pic of it on the bike.

Not being abe to see an older FZ6, can't really say. It's not going to work on a newer 07+ model though.

I would have to do a complete redesign for 2007+ but I still think I could come up with something.

FZ6N would be out of luck on that, but it would be pretty easy to do some forum stickers if there was a demand.

Something along the lines of the website url in the font of the t-shirts (below) would be nice. About the size of windscreens to run up the length perhaps??? Various colours to suit different bikes.

Unfortunately I have no way of making, so just an idea if someone has the means and there is a demand.

I like what you're shooting for there with the FZ6 and the pattern on the otherside. I think white might be too bright though. Maybe a charcoal grey or something I dunno, I'm not that great with color schemes :thumbup:

i m all out on your idea it really suits the bike.. there was one member who did his windscreen similar to this however i cant remember the name. it was white on both sides with blue piping and fz6 on the lhs of the bike.. i would go white or red to match the bike as black would not show since under the windshield theres black plastic

The final product would be white to match the Yamaha factory theme.

I can produce these and sell them if anyone else wants this too.

Also, since I created that FZ6-Forum logo, I could also do a decal with the font as shown on the shirts.
