San Diego RIDE SEPT 12th or 13th

lol Mike... make it to that ride I haven't seen you in forever!

Did you hear Newcomb's burnt down? crazy.............

It might be a better idea to do Palomar and surroundings... ACH and the like won't be "rideable' anytime soon...

I should be in for this :)

If this fire season gets bad we might find it hard to ride any of these rides but lets' hope for the best. Maybe we can have a backup plan like Pally etc.?

Cliff

Ok well the point is, it's fair to assume that the Angeles Crest forest (including all its awesome roads) won't be rideable by next week (for this ride), so it may be a good idea to confirm the plan B now :) That's all I am saying hehe.

I know dude, we gotta ride. So i will be down for this one i think.

Didnt hear about Newcombs burning tho  Just checked the news and couldnt really find anything. Where did you see that?

Due to the fire on ACH, I wanted to get your thoughts on another ride route.

please share your idea's.

No need to let the fire stand in our way for a great ride.

looks like all the SD riders are in for Palomar ride.

LA Area riders, will you guys be up for a SD ride? Palomar and surrounding area, maybe grab lunch in Julian.

Palomar-South and East Grades, shoot to Julian via Wynola Rd. for food and apple pie. There are also other places to eat. BBQ sandwiches anyone? Julian to Banner Grade etc. There is so much to ride in this area. I know this is depending on how riders are feeling because some folk would already be riding a distance but If we can still do ACH (and I'm doing it sometime) I'm going the distance.....

I should be able to make this. Lets hope for normal temps and NO fires.

If you could edit the original post with meeting time/place and proposed route it might help some other riders to make a commitment to this event.

Wow, but some sheer stroke of luck I think I can make this one!

Haven't ridden in a while, I'm rusty, I'll probably be a backmarker on this one. Which is fine by me, I enjoy the scenery
