Need a spec on my R6(S) forks

Hey everyone. I'm planning on doing a naked conversion on my '06 this fall or winter and there's a piece of information I can't find for the life of me. I've got '07 R6S forks and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me, with certainty, what the diameter (I believe that's what I need) of the fork tubes is? 41mm, 43mm, etc?

I ask because I'm looking for fork brackets to mount the headlight, but I need to know this measurement so I get brackets that will fit.

You need 7th grade math again!
Just divide the circumference by pi and youll have diameter.
go grab a tape measure yo

FZ6 forks are 43mm therefor the R6S forks are 43mm otherwise they wouldn't work.

Hit up Harbor Freight and pick up a pair of calipers.

Thanks ant. I thought about that after asking the question, but then realized I didn't know what my original FZ6 forks were either...so it wouldn't have helped anyway...lol.

Here are the specs for a 2007 R6S. If you look under front suspension you'll see that it does indeed have 43mm forks.

I knew you had them, which is why I suggested getting a pair of calipers, so you could physically measure them.

And 04fizzer...my bad. I had a "duh" moment when I read your post. When you said calipers, I was thinking brakes...not a measuring tool...lol. Sorry about that!!! :thumbup:
