What R6 Forks do I have?

Okay! Brand new to riding so go easy on me. I bought a 2006 FZ6S the guy had wrecked it pretty good so I am doing a naked conversion. I noticed the fork seals were leaking so I ordered some new ones. After spending some time on here I realized that someone had put R6 Forks on there. How do I know what year forks are on my bike and what seals to get?

I think that they are 2004 given the blue cap that is on them. But I do not know if this is something that is on other years as well.

R6 forks from the 2003 - 2004 model year are the most poplar and easiest to fit upgrades. It would be helpful if you send in some pictures of your setup to make sure that you don't have some sort of one-off upgrade.

Yep, 2003-04. I have the same forks on my 05......

Another FYI, looks like you have an FZ1 bar as well (me too). It reduces the wrist bend and eases the strain on the hands.

I need to replace the throttle cables. Do I buy the FZ1 cables or for FZ6?
