That fairing stay is badly bent! Must have been a pretty fast crash.. I hope the guy you lend it to is ok... so you can kick his a**! :spank:

Yeah, sometimes it's the person lending the bike is just as responsible as the guy who borrowed it and crashed.
I always say these words when someone asks to borrow my bike:
"Can you cover my deductible?"
My answer typically matches theirs at that point...
Ooops! I forgot to ask you and you forgot to ask me.
I've only ever let two people ride my bike. My wife on my first FZ6 and Rob on my FZ1.
My rule is, if you crash mine, I keep yours until mine is fixed or replaced. Simple enough.
But, I *still* have to explicitly trust you as a rider to be able to use my bike.

that really does suck... was it a really good friend of yours??
Sorry to see your bike in such sad shape....maybe framesliders would have saved the frame and engine on the left side.....any scratches on the frame=Total loss
Hopefully, if it was a friend he or she is still a friend -- hoping that "was" is not the operative notion here...
That really blows. I take it you weren't with them when this occurred. Are you going to keep us all in suspense or are you gonna dish the details..?
I hope everyone is ok and that you get it sorted soon enough.

I lent my bike to my bro and he dropped it. Good thing out of it is I went naked for free.
Funny thing about reading these posts is that no one wants to lend their bike out but at the same time there are tons of posts from people about how stupid it is to not be able to demo a bike at the dealer....... hmmmmmm
