Got pulled over by Utah's Finest today...

Was coming home from Reserve duty this afternoon, doing 80 in a 75 zone, when I noticed a highway patrol car overtaking me in the passing lane. He got past me then slowed to my speed, then slowed down a bit more so he was behind me about 20 feet, and he stayed there.
I didn't adjust my speed, as if he was going to pull me over, he already knew I was doing 80. Finally, he got behind me and did pull me over. :eyebrow: I got off the bike, and he walked up and said, "Sorry I pulled you over sir, but I just had to see what kind of motorcycle luggage you're using!"

I had my humongous "Bags Connection" rear bag and large tankbag on, he admired the fact that a sporty bike could carry that much. He drove an Yammie FJR himself, and we chatted for about 15 minutes. Cool afternoon! :thumbup:

Classic! Next time I get pulled over, i'm going to have to use that line that the cop used on you. "Sir do you know why I pulled you over, yes officer, you wanted to see what kind of luggage I had." I'm sure the outcome will be much different though.

Agree with fz6joker, should have got him to join, would have been great to have another friendly policeman in our ranks.
