The 'Full English' I was referring to, was breakfast. Bacon, sausages, black pudding, fried eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans, fried bread, bread & butter & loads of tea. If you're a bit further north Haggis is an option.
I ate that glorious fare in the British army every morning for 12 years. It's what put the GREAT in Great Britain.
As for tea, I am amazed at the number of uncouth savages posting here who drink their tea iced/cold/with sugar/"Earl Grey" or any other of the myriad ways of mucking it up.
Tea is a very simple beverage to prepare and enjoy: The (hitherto COLD, not hot) water must be brought to a full boil, and still be boiling when it hits the tea leaves. When poured, it can be added to a small amount of milk in the cup, not the other way around and consumed HOT enough to hard boil an egg. All other activities must CEASE when brewing and enjoying one's tea. It's as spiritual as one can get without it being an actual religion.
I still awake in the middle of the night in a cold sweat when I relive being served an ice-cold glass of "tea" in California full of honey, lemon and heaven knows what else. I learned very quickly to ask for "hot tea", which usually caused desperate confusion, but ultimately would produce (at the very least) a tea bag containing actual tea leaves.
Although I am surrounded by barbarians, I do constantly endeavour to establish and maintain even a modicum of civilization on this Continent.
