I have some signed books by him. I have read the first Hitch Hikers book so many times and I still laugh my head off every time.

He has done more stuff than just Hitch Hikers such as the Holistic Detective and "The meaning of Liff" which gives meaning to place names, for example

I'd say my favourite author is Iain M. Banks. I just love his books about The Culture.

Neil Gaiman, Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett aren't too bad either.

I am kind of a history buff. I also like books on nature and science. I was reading a book about The Great Influenza of 1918 the other day when my wife asked me why I didn't read any fun books! Trying to explain that it was a "fun" book to me didn't convince her.
