I need your opinions if it is OK to start using synthetic oil at 4500 miles in my FZ6. I heard synthetic oil should not be used until the engine turns 10000 bikes, unless the bike has always uses synthetic oil since new as recommended by the owner's manual. The same question applies to my Honda magna and Kawi ninja 650R. I appreciate if any of you give me your inputs. Thanks.

Why not... listening to old wives tales about synthetic oil are you? Corvettes (and other cars) roll off the assembly line with Mobil 1 synthetic in their crank case... I used it at 200 Km on my FZ6.....

FLAME WAR ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

Just switch or dont its up to you man. 250 miles is fine switch.

Drag the bike home on a trailer and drain out the factory fill and switch to synth at 0 miles is fine. You just have to change it right away though so its a waste in the first few miles.
