Thats great Bill, tell Louise some random dude from KY like her car. LOL That looks like a blast.

I had a look at Salton City on google earth due to the not quite hell comment and well....it seems to be lots and lots of paved roads, with names, and not many houses. Some roads don't even have any houses. Some have 1 or 2. Very odd???? What's with the place?

lol.....it has not been developed....salton city on google earth is old, we have alot more new homes now, but it's still not like a normal city. It was popular back in the 60's, but the sea is soooo bad now that nobody wants to live here. Salton City is the cheapest place in southern california. They've been talking about reconditioning the sea for years because of the terrible smell (sulfur.) The sea is 38 miles long and 15 miles wide with an average depth of about 20 feet. The deepest is 50 feet. It is 30% more salty than the ocean. Fish live in there (I know, I'm surprised too)....and once a year the fish die and wash up on the shore...there are fish bones everywhere. It gets so hot here that it creates algae and suffocates the fish then they die, plus, it smells because it has been stagnant water for about 60 years . We are 236 feet below sea level. Anyways......we can see hell from here. :D

OK NOW YOUVE DONE IT.

Start a thread on Salton City CA. I gotta see this stuff. I thought you all were just being dramatic, but seriously WTF. I wanna see your brine pond, dead fish, and such and the like. I need to see this stuff.

Sounds like you need to convince the city to spruce up your water feature. You know fix the water chemistry and populate it with beautiful creatures.

Now who could they find to do that....................

I know, pack your bags Steve - you're up for the challenge right? :p

When it rains, snows, or just can't ride a motorcycle. post car pics, and other related things that you drive other than 2 wheeled machines:

I ride my bike everyday! Rain or shine, or maybe in this area heat. I have no other mode of transport. I went to our company Xmas party last week wearing a suit, as in coat and tie, not full gear, and had to take a cab.
