You just gotta love these "Cut-In-Half" Engine models, - no matter what the engine principle is. I Had a 4 stroke model (A toy thing) when I was a kid, - could watch it for hours

I feel the same way. I was at a county fair once and they had a booth for some oil additive, anyway there was a single cylinder engine with a piece of Plexiglas covering the crankcase and the engine was running. It was very cool looking.

Ya,- I could imagine that a front wheel like that could prove interesting on a wet corner .....

One of the mags I get had an article a couple months ago about a motorcycle with a Wankel engine in it. The thing wasn't much bigger than a softball (the motor). That would have some serious weight advantages, along with a pretty cool sound too.

Been done a long (ish) time ago. The Norton JPS team ran Wankel engines problem was deciding the cc. Norton claimed it was < 600 but many race boards treated it as 1000cc or higher. I remember seeing Norton trounce the competition (when it wasn't broken down).

we got a similar issue here in the UK ..road tax is calculated on engine size (and now emissions too) so a mazda RX8 is listed as being a 1.3cc which is in he lower tax category..but the fact it has 2 rotors makes it 2.6cc in reality .a great little loophole
