Hooked up a couple 6-led 194 bulbs to the podlights. They really shine. They definately increase my front end visibility, even during the day they shine!!

That last picture... You know the bit in Close Encounters where Richard Dreyfuss is sat in his pickup and the lights come up behind him...

Be safe, be seen

Link to buy them? HowTo? Where'd you tie them into the system?

They look GREAT!! Nice work!

on ebay just search: 6 led 194 bulb

super white

I tied them into my turn signals for power. they dont blink when I have my signal on but you can wire them up for that if u want. These have a wide dispersion so you can still see them even when standing way off to the side of the bike

Hey Paul... where are the projectors in those pictures? I had planned to do the pod lights just before I wrecked. Blue LEDs would look awesome next to those HID kits with projectors.

I did it a little different, went to auto zone bought 2 License side marker sockets from Conduct-Tite Part# 85814 $3.99 each, and (2) jamstrait hyper-bright 4 led 194A bulbs(amber), $10.49 for a two pack... $18.47 Total. Soldered and taped the taps to the harness.

does anyone know if the pods work on the 07

Yes, they do. I installed the R1 pod lights on my 07 and they look GREAT.
I just have standard 194 amber bulbs installed at the moment, but will be replacing them with LED's in the spring.

Look at the date of my post...about 2 weeks after I bought the bike....Since then I have put the orange LED's in due to the fact my Watsen signals dont have the running light module attached.....You can see the orange alot better than they show in this pic...bad angle

I have done the exact same as you ,but I started with the LED's and had nothing but trouble ,went to standard and no probs and they seem to stand out more as well.

Is cutting the holes about the same? These held in with the rubber grommits?

Thanks Eric!

I have done the mod with the R1 sockets. I would like to see the sockets that were bought at autozone as well. Is the hole that you drilled still 9/16"? If not, is it larger than 9/16? If so, I might change mine to the bigger sockets. Then you could put a larger bulb in. I would like to have mine brighter. I have tried 3 or 4 different led bulbs, and now I have the standard 194 bulbs in. To me, the standard bulb creates a bigger circumference of light.

Not positive on the exact hole size, i started a little smaller the modified the holes a bit, the sockets are rubber that required a little trimming at the flange, careful when centering the holes, there is not much room for error!!

I'd post some pics, however she is currently in hibernation, If you look at antmb's video, it looks identical to me ;)
