Pretty funny, but hits close to home as my four-year old is just about to take his training wheels off and is probably in line for some of this.

Not for me mate, watching children crash. The stupid adults with the cameras should be watching out for their children. I spend shift after shift having to deal with incompetent parents.
This is just my opinion, not disrespecting you in anyway. Kids love to explore and be adventurous, they know no fear.
How many of those dumb parents didn't even have a helmet on their children.

It's happened to all of us. Falling off a bike was a normal thing during my childhood... I think it is only normal for most people. Kids will explore and do stupid things and hurt themselves, but I feel it's an integral part of growing up.

I also think that most of the crashes were 'innocent'. The person taking the film couldn't possibly know that something like this would happen, he/she were probably just filming their kids having fun.

Kids really do know no fear. This is why they make stupid mistakes like this.

So you can either let them make stupid mistakes on a bicycle, or you can pad and protect their entire world so that they wander through life without fear of consequences and dangers. And later on they can make their stupid mistakes while operating cars, aircraft, trains, buses or construction equipment.

I never wore a helmet, and I had quite a few crashes. I turned out just fine.




Well, I didn't suffer any permanent brain damage.
