so i been lookin around and kind of thinking... i see alot of people who have signatures or posts with all their mods, and alot of times i look at some of these and think.. is that really a mod? just kinda makes me laugh when i see people write "sticker removal mod". or "rim tape mod" i dunno, maybe im dumb, but it just doesnt seem like a mod to me, thats like saying "proper tire inflation mod". i dunno, you tell me... what do you consider a mod? :confused:

that's too funny...i was laughing so hard when i read that....but you have a good point. I would say a "mod" would consist of at least removing bolts...

:rof: you embarrassed me enough to remove my gremlin bell one lol I knew it was cheesy when I put it in, but it was weird enough to appeal to me
:rof::rof:

yeah, like, i dont think you have to spend an enormous amount of money or alot of time, just something out of the ordinary. New rims, new seat, new (dual) headlights, anything "custom" but sticker removal mod?" :rolleyes:

Hey Max...:Flip: What the hell have YOU done???

Sticker removal would be a modification to the bikes appearance..... Technically

haha, actually i wasnt referring to you, but i see you have the "stickers removed" also, whoever i was referring to, (which ill leave nameless... because i totally forgot where i saw it or who it was) actually had "sticker removal mod" as if it was a step by step procedure that only a select few have done. As for you though, i have no issues, no need to get your chaps in a ruffle. i was simply saying that with all the things that can be done to a bike, "sticker removal" is not a mod. You seem to have alot of time and money invested in your bike, so why would you list that as a modification? people respect you for putting effort and time into making your bike custom, putting "stickers removed" just looks like a way to add another line of mods to your list. when you take the price tag off of a new pair of pants do you consider them modified?

and for me, all i have done so far is yamaha lower cowling, FE kit, clear signals, Juice box. K&N as for little extras (that i DONT consider mods, but since you asked) painted exhaust, painted radiator ends, painted windscreen, rim tape, bright white headlights, frame sliders, opened airbox. and of course the sticker removal mod :thumbup:

Have you tried getting those #*^&$ stickers off in the dead of winter???? It makes the R6 Fork Mod look easy! Hours with a hair dryer in a cold garage trying to get those stupid stickers off that have been thermo bonded to your paint. Then once it finally comes off in a million sticky, gooey pieces, you have the scrub the surface it came from with a solvent the get the rest of the goo off. It's a big PITA! Now, in the Texas summer when its a 105 it can be a bit easier.

I look at it any this way. If a change has been done to the stock, performance, appearance or ergomonics, it's a mod. Like the guys who first shaved the chrome off their cars years ago, that was a very cool mod that make their cars clean. The stick removal, while not as involved at shaving chrome is similar, it make the bike look cleaner and well, not stock.

Hey, have you seen my fuzzy dice??? ;)

I think it's not an issue, people in here are very proud of their trusty steeds, any modification that they think improves their bike is worthing telling the World about......that's what the forum is about, sharing your experiences, etc.

This is where we get idea's for our own bikes, etc.

your right, it doesnt hurt my feelings in the least bit what people feel like putting as mods, hell i got half my ideas from seeing others post about it. it just makes me giggle when i see a ton of nice mods and then "sticker removal mod" just wanted everyones opinion on it...

i notice you have not added sticker removal to your long list :D
