This is a great mod- took only 2 hrs, and looks like a different bike now! My source provided much better instructions than Yamaha also! I'll try this picture thing, but no promises! If any1 is interested, I can get better pics tomorrow! These are OEM Yamaha Lower Fairings only available in Canada- for some odd reason... Please ask any questions- I'll answer as much as I can- or can find out.

Thank you! Tank protector was a whopping 10 bucks on Ebay. Wouldn't you know- had to go out of town for business the weekend that they arrived. All I could think about were FAIRINGS untill I got back to Texas! Now if I could only see it in daylight... :D

Did the labeled bags help with the install? Have you gone for a spin on it yet with the fairings installed? How do you like the lights?

so are these the fairings that are listed on Yamaha Canada(listed below) for around $780? If so, do you mind sharing who you ordered through(phone # , etc) and tha actual price?
Thanks

Yes those are the fairings.

PH (905) 385-5977

They are Yamaha Genuine Parts

They cost 789.95 plus 126.39 US dollars as of July 2008

Hope this answers your question (I love the cut-n-paste!)

Labeling on bags made the job almost too easy! Only took 2 hours for install, & I was working at a slow pace while having several beers! Haven't ridden it yet (beer thing again). Love the lights! IMHO, the bike should have came from Yamaha set up this way b/c it looks more finished! Packing was perfect. I saw how spotless they were, & wondered if they had ever been installed! Thanks again for all of your effort & assistance!
PS
Have you got Scorps yet?

No, I went with the Leo Vinces...LOVE em....they sound evil, wicked, mean-n-nasty!:D

Can you post pics/scan of the instructions? I've got mine installed but there were no instructions. I've got them on and off before but it wasn't fun! Also the black clips they use on the bottom suck!

Oil changes will now take you a LOT longer! :D

Only pain is that lower fairings for 07-08 is so expensive..these plastics cost really too much :( For the price I bought my bike...if I compare..I would end up spending about 1/5th of the bike cost just for these fairings...am I making sense? why do these cost soo much? I mean they r just 2 pieces of ...grrrrrrr...unfortunately they look soo good on the fz6...cant stop thinking about them even though I have been telling myself not to do it bcoz they r expensive..

You know you can't resist! :P

I bought mine from the dealer with the bike so they were stuck on the 0% finance deal along with the datatagging and fender eliminator! :Flip:
