These are my current guitars. I went on a BC Rich kick. Glad I did. They are awsome guitars. I play, but not that well. Been in and out of it for the last 20 or so years.

We are huge silverchair fans.. haha yeah...

as for why we don't play anymore, Singer moved to Seattle and got married, Bass player got married, Drummer moved to Portland, I stayed in the Tri-cities. We use to drive to band practice every weekend even when we lived so far apart. I just got to be too much. I never got to ride my FZ6 because I was toooo busy hauling amps, drum sets, and a pile of guitars around.

You guys are incredible! I explored your myspace a bit...why'd you stop playing?!? I wouldn't have heard of you as I left Tri-Cities in 02. My step-daughters are still there, they would know you...no doubt.

Its a Behringer iAXE 629. Its pretty cheap but from what I was told alright for a starter. The impressive thing about it is that it has a USB and I plug it onto my PC. My teacher told me though that it's ok for a starter guitar but probably in about 6 months I will be looking to get something a lot better. I just finished my third lesson today. It's getting difficult. Especially the pull off's...

Lots of guitar talent on this forum! Good to know that there is at least one more sax player here :thumbup:. I have been playing the saxophone since 6th grade. Havent played much since my second year of college. Recently started to learn how to play the guitar after playing rock band for so long. So far I can play yankee doodle and ode to joy. Havent gotten past the G-string yet . And yes, I am very loyal to Yamaha.

Behringer makes fantastic effects processors - rack mounts and ridiculously good sounding headphones. They are a good company, and I'm sure that guitar will work just fine. Thanks for the answer on the question.

Keep at it, best advice I can give you is a more modern technique I've used to teach myself and at least 6 others how to play and get immediate results, is the use of 2 finger power chording and scales. Learning your root notes, and training each finger independent of one another. Not sure how your instructor is teaching you (they typically teach as slow as possible to keep you paying them money longer) buy learning full chords, meaning all 4 fingers, is not ideal. And takes forever.

Every note has a root note, and if you place your leading power chord finger (in a 2 finger position) on the root, you can play along with absolutely every song on the planet. Encouragement, fun and inspiration is the trick to getting good at guitar, and power chords will help you develop much quicker into more advanced and complicated techniques. One finger at a time my man
