I wouldn't worry too much about grief from cops. Matter of fact I bet you'll get a few thumbs up from our friends in blue.

As for cops, we live in such a small area, I know most of them, one of the 2 in my specific area is my best friends brother lol And as I have said before, our roads are soooooo straight and flat around here, you can see the cops before they ever get you on radar lol

As for that guys post, I just shrug it off, everyone is entitled to their opinion, personally if I saw a lady with ponytails flying I would laugh my butt off, not think...how immature lol

What that says about me? I'm immature I guess, but why not have a little fun in life and give the kids in the soccer moms SUV behind me something to giggle at ?!?

So will suction cups or velcro really hold them on? I'm thinking priority number one is for them to stay attached. On long rides won't they strain your neck muscles (more wind resistance)?

The velcro seems to do the trick, rode over to Batgirls cottage this weekend and they stayed on perfectly. But....you are completely bang on about the wind resistance, I never thought about that. If you are given 'er bent over the tank a bit, you feel like a bobble head but as long as you are cruising fairly upright, you notice it, but it doesn't whip you around too much. On a long ride they would be in my saddle bags though.
