Replaced my brake (yay easy) and levers however when I loosened the clutch cable at the rear of the end of the cable, I am now unable to reattach it to the clip? Tried maneuvering best I could but no luck and didn't want to pull too tight. Any ideas? I've attached a picture if that helps...
The cable or latch mechanism seems to be really tight when first removing my seat. I don't want to break my key jamming it forward and it will eventually unlock but the cable might have to be oiled. Would this be the same procedure as a clutch cable lube? Any better solutions?
Thought I'd share a little story about those who work on others homes.
Long story short I was asked if I could help install a TV and cable box in another room of modeler home built in ~2000. When purchased by current owner 6 years ago a called was made to comcast to to install cable boxes, a...

Just an FYI I thought I'd post some information.
23,000 miles on the bike, clutch cable WELL maintained.
While lubing it yesterday (and it was working fine), I noticed the clearish plastic cable insert coming OUT at
the lever end of the cable(nothing should stick put BUT the cable)...
HI all,
my clutch cable decided to give up the ghost yesterday and on trying to get the old one out it appears I have to remove the airbox? Or is there an easier way, there appears to be an adjuster half way down the cable that stops it being pulled through up the side of the frame and out...

I realize this isn't Fizzer related, but I'm trying to discern a quirk I noticed this morning on my 600F4i. When I let the clutch lever out, I can hear a sort of springy, "sproing" type sound from the clutch basket somewhere. Rolling the bike, putting it in gear, turning it on - it still makes...
Hi all, newbie here both to the forum, and to my FZ6. The previous owner did a side-of-the-road clutch cable replacement, and I'm trying to replace it with the OEM version, but having a hell of a time routing it correctly. Two questions right off the bat, for those of you who have done this...

I can adjust the cable at the handlebar end but is there a way to adjust at the motor end without taking the battery and air box out? Clutch cable...not throttle cable. How can I change the title?
Thanks!
Hello everyone,
So yesterday I had a bit of an embarrassing episode. I figured I would brave the new ice on the roads on my bike to get to class however I ended up going down at aprox 6mph on a icy patch. Mostly just lost pride, however in the process my clutch handle broke off so I had to get...
Hey guys,
I'm having a bit of a throttle sticking issue.
Basically if I put a lot of slack into the throttle cable it doesn't stick at all, but when I adjust the slack out of the cable it sticks.
What's the best way to have a throttle without slack, but also that doesn't stick?
Thanks!
Hey everyone, I've had an 04 FZ6 for 3 years, and replaced the clutch cable when I bought it. The cable frequently loosens bit by bit with time, and I need to adjust it every few weeks or so. Very often while easing out the clutch and rolling on the throttle, the bike feels like it jerks or...
My throttle cables got crushed and now the throttle has a hard time returning to the "off" position. It looks like one of the cable housings is also cracked, exposing the interior. Instead of cheaping out and somehow trying to fix it I decided to just replace them.
1. Should I do both cables...
Heya folks! I've been keeping up with regular maintenance on the bike as best I can, and every time the clutch starts to get a bit harder to pull I go about and add some oil (10W40) which seems to fix the problem - although the oil never seems to stay for very long. I noticed yesterday that it...
Hi Everyone
While riding to work the other day the clutch lever got stuck when i pulled it in to change gears, i managed to nurse it home.
I originally thought this was due to lack of cable lube, so today i went to lube it and discovered that the cable had actually sawed its way through...
So I've been working on a project bike for about a year now, I'm at the point where its just loose ends to tidy up before its done. Since its a vintage bike and a bit of a mod/restoration I've had to be a bit creative with parts that aren't available anymore/wont work with the things I've done...
I've ridden my "new to me" 2007 FZ6 a handful of times so far in a the past few weeks. I've noticed the stock levers are pretty awkward for me. I naturally try to 2-3 finger the clutch lever, as it feels more natural, but just end up squishing the rest of my knuckles. Plus, I don't have huge...
Hey all. I'm sure if you're looking at this thread you've seen my "soon to be new owner" thread. Well now that I have the bike I have a different set of questions!
I've only just become acquainted with the buffeting issue of having a wind screen. I have no interest in tearing the fairing off...
