I don't know, riding my bike just doesn't seem that dangerous.... I'm a paratrooper whose been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, and now work as a full time cop. Doing either job is dangerous. Let's ban soldiers and cops. Both have a bad habit of getting hurt or dying.

I have rode with gloves since buying the bike 3 years ago, now feels so odd without them that I literally can't control the bike as well without them.... I know it's just mental, but still...

Whatever you choose, let us know what you think of the new purchase. I have dreams of the R1, but if they are as uncomfortable as I think they are, then I would be happier with the fz6 or fz1. I like to ride for at least an hour without stops...

I voted night. Less cars on the road, and they actually seem to see me better at night (despite my bright red leathers).

I know I am not nearly the most experienced rider here, but the fz6 is fast enough for me, at least for now. I have had it up to 126 MPH (no speed healer), and the only reason I let off was because that was fast enough for me (the bike had alot more). If you really want to keep up with...

I lean so far over, I regularly scrape the side of my helmet!! ....okay, really..... I often lean off the seat, not because I am that fast, but because I enjoy it. I seldom scrap my pegs, maybe because of the leaning but mostly because I am not that talented yet.....:Flash:

I would never ride without a helmet and gear.... But as a father with a little girl, THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL THAT I WOULD LET MY DAUGHTER RIDE WITHOUT A HELMET [I]AND[I] GEAR.

My granddad gave me the Honda to learn on. Then I got the FZ. Later went and got a permit. Attended a MSF course, and got my liscense. This all was over about a 2 month period.

I would have thought riding two up makes the bike heavier and thus more wind resistant.. am I wrong?? I haven't rode two up since I was a kid riding with my dad. Wind seems a little suspicious to me...
