I really like my puig double bubble. The wind protection is top notch. Being 6'2" I have found that when tucked I look just over the top. If I had it to do over again I would have probably gone with a darker screen. The puig look is not for everybody so take your time. You will find that the...
Does anyone have any suggestions for new bars? I'm 6'2" and would like to have something that leans a little more foreward and a little more flat. Thanks for the help.

Your not boring man, just a fellow FZ6 rider. That being said, send us some pics of your mods. You might be surprised at how much we all have in common.
If you tint it, make sure to put the tint on the inside. A guy at out local shop tinted his stock on the outside and did a crapy job. The tint wound up over his face shield at 70 mph.
I would say about 2 1/2 to 3 inches. The double bubble also makes it pitch outward more. In truth the stock, if it were darker does look better, but the ride quality if the puig is very good.

1. same day
2. Back to back rides
3. same road
4. same speed (75- 80 mph)
5. same conditions (no wind slightly overcast and humid)

I installed the puig double bubble last week. I thought it was a little better untill I read this thread and took it out on the interstate. I'm 6'2" and when I got up above 80 mph I really felt and heard a lot of wind. It seemed at the time like a bit more than my stock. I think this weekend...
If you take the bolt to lowe's or home depot they have specialty nut and bolt section that has a thread key that will tell you the thread size and you can replace the wing nut with a stanless steel locking or wing nut. Hope it helps.
They came with my '08 in june. Thought about gitting rid of them but the extra safety factor kicked in.....decided to keep them. The dealership tossed them in to seal the deal:D
I have puig and I really like it. I bought it because I screwed up my stock windscreen taking a sticker off. How exactly did you cut down the stock windscreen??
The Sportbike Network - Sportbikes.net Hope this helps, this F.E. kit does use the stock plate light. When you order it, be patient, it will take a couple of weeks to arrive. It does come with everything you need. IF you have any questions send me a PM, I'll be happy to help if I can.
