Tough to find songs that Youtube will allow these days! HWY 229, Rossi's Driveway.

‪Rossis Driveway‬‏ - YouTube

was that BT??? Loved it :) I need to ride that road now

About youtube, I realized doing the euro trip video that you can put any song as long as you don't let it on for too long... next time pick 2-3 songs and don't let them go passed 2/3 each and you should be fine :)

My apologies for the lack of videos thus far. :spank: My only defense is that I've basically worked and slept all week and other than downloading a couple of hours worth of footage that's all I've accomplished so far.
However, my wife's going to a wedding shower tomorrow afternoon so I'll buckle down and get it finished by tomorrow night. :cheer:
As a little teaser....I do have Cali rider doing stand up comedy to close the video. :rof::rof:

Huh? I hope it isn't the drunken foolishness while watching the high-speed chase...

EDIT: I am pre-planning my trip up to NoCal...it looks to start only 10 days from now...look for another thread when I know what I'm doing...

This year, it was the FabFive NorCal hooligans riding down. Next time maybe it'll be a six-pack! All told, a 4-teen convoy.

Yep, BT and DJ Micro finally got through the censors!

I'll have to try that 2/3 of a song trick later. I'll start by adding a soundtrack to the ACH vid. Thanks for the tip!

Sorry it's late but here's Part I of the NorCal/SoCal 2011 video I shot. Part II will be completed tomorrow with Cali rider's comic relief at the end. Hope you all enjoy....:D

While I'm waiting for Part II of my video to upload to YouTube I thought I'd take a couple of minutes to reflect on this year's epic ride, so here it goes...

As everyone knows, especially those who participated in this year's ride, a successful group ride depends on a number of factors. The most important of these is the planning of the day's ride including multiple meeting points, food and gas stops and a well planned route that makes for an interesting and varied ride that can be enjoyed by all even with varying riding skills/experience. Cali rider is just the best at this, the route was perfect, the scheduled stops for breakfast, lunch and a last minute dinner decision couldn't have been any better. Thanks for all your work John. And having one group of 15 riders can be a disaster if everyone doesn't act in a responsible way. This again was a non issue as everyone seemed to form up according to their own speed, experience and comfort level which resulted in the pack spreading out only to meet up at designated points with a leader and sweeper keeping all of the "flock" safe and sound. Thanks to to John and David for allowing me to ride on their coattails for most of the day so I had an easier time picking up the correct lines and "safe" speeds.

Secondly and maybe just as important, is the group of riders spending the day together. I have to say, I'm just blown away with our group and the friendly, mature (well to an extent;)) and positive attitude's exhibited by all. Meeting people in person after conversing on an online forum can be awkward I suppose but I felt like I was reuniting with friends that I had know for years. I was a little sad however realizing how little face to face time we were all afforded with each other because of the relatively limited amount of time we spent together off the bikes. We almost have to do a speed dating thing in the future where we switch chairs every 10 minutes to mingle. :D

I'd also like to thank the NorCal boys; Travis, Moses, Stacy and Papa Nate for making the trip down and back with me this year, it was really nice to see NorCal so well represented. Not to forget Kenny who came out once again from Las Vegas this year.

Lastly, a special thanks to John, Randy and Kenny for "escorting" us out of town by way of Ojai on Sunday morning. It was great to spend just a few more miles with friends before heading back home. You guys rock.

That's about it...I just wanted to thank all of you for making what John and I agreed, was an even better ride thank we had last year which I didn't think was possible.

Until we meet again..:Sport:

O.K. so here's Part II of the 2011 ride video I took. I think this section of The Angeles Forest Hwy was my favorite of the day, although there were so many awesome roads it's hard to say. I did feel like I needed a smoke like after an intimate encounter when we pulled off at the end of the video. :ban::D That's DefyInertia in front of me getting some camera time.

You might have to listen closely to Cali rider's comic relief at the end, and it might only make sense if you were there, but it was funny as heck. Hope you enjoy it, sorry I suck at editing.. :spank: :D

Hey John, I didn't have any sound when I watched this...did the audio get stripped by YouTube? However, I do remember the incident so I know what was said...thanks!!

Thank you Lefty!
Great video but it does seem like they pulled the sound.

Youtube still referenced the track as Reverend Horton Heat. Which track was it, Loco Gringos?

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm not as clever as I think I am. I see it's big red rocket of love. Interesting choice; are you jealous of the red FZ's now?

Did you do the 2/3 of a song trick?

Cool video, now fix the sound:rolleyes: you ever thought about using Vimeo? from what I've seen you can post HD video's, not sure about the audio, may be the same BS as YouTube.
And just a FYI that was Angeles Forest Hwy, not as many grand vista's as Angeles Crest Hwy but lots of high speed sweepers and just as fun.
