yamaha td900 anyone ever seen one of these in the U.S.?

Not available in the US. The TDM 850 was sold in the US for two years. A co-worker has one. Not as nice looking as the 900. Europeans get some nice bike we will never see.

One of my dads old parts man had a tdm 850, as said not as good looking but still an amazing bike!

The TDM is an awesome bike. It didn't sell well the 2 years it was offered in the US ('91-'92) but is still sold all over the world. Call Yamaha USA and tell them you want them to see it in the USA again. If enough people are interested, they WILL bring it over here again. Here is the Yamaha USA customer service number: (800) 962-7926. Give them a call and tell them you'd like to see the bike again, and tell them that the V-Strom, Versys, and Tiger are perfect examples of why the TDM will sell in the US. The market wasn't here 20 years ago, but times have changed and people want these types of bikes.

It's one of those bikes that's a tool for daily use for all types of riding. The anti-Harley if you will. The guys that have the '91-'92 models that were sold in the USA absolutly love them. They are quite rare.
