it is a tough one. i mean I don't have full coverage but I am only home to ride 4 months in the summer. I also live in the country and 99% of the time i am with my buddy riding and we aren't around very many people. My bike is paid for plus I am young enough they wanted $1200 a year for full coverage. Wasnt worth it.
Let me get this straight...
This is your first bike, EVAR
You can't afford to buy it out right, but you're buying brand new
You can barely afford insurnace, so you're gonna try to skimp on coverage
Your questions about FZ6 vs. FZ6r revolve around the cosmetic differences such as the ability to remove stickers on one vs. the other
I'm guessing you won't be paying for the MSF course or buying full gear either?
:spank:
I have a better idea! Get a smaller used bike for your first bike (see my comments in your other thread). Learning to ride a "slow" bike that you can actually afford FAST is a lot more fun and a lot smarter than riding a fast bike SLOW and over-extending your financial situation to boot.
Please feel free to ignore me and don't take offense as I only have your best interest in mind.
Oh yeah, where in NY are you?
tough call but makes sense to me
Here is a question to all readers...
The other day I almost got hit by a Paris Hilton look-alike (big sunglasses, screw her). If she hit me, it doesn't matter if I have full or liability. She pays for my bike ( I was at a red light at the time). This is a correct statement, no?
I am just saying, most motorcycle wrecks are the result of the car not paying attention, and they're at fault. I am not saying don't get full coverage, but my bike is paid off, and, honestly, I don't want to pay a ridiculous amount (because of squids) to insure my bike.
I managed to get a decent deal with American Family through Esurance and took Liability, Comprehensive and Uninsured motorist but not collision. The bike is covered unless I hit something at my own fault.

Im pretty sure im going to get the fz6r anyway. I couldnt really care less about pink flames..ill ride with them/....or just get the black 1..o yea and im in Yonkers![]()
unfortunately your not going to find a used FZ6R.
I'm really surprised at some of these high insurance rates. I guess I am just spoiled paying $280 a year full coverage for a 600cc bike.
