except cobalt now = 'deep blue', so perhaps the blue is slightly different? oh, and it's $291 more expensive ;-)

Collective sigh of relief? Sigh of boredom?

Me, I'm happy... Some of the teasers had me worried.

Though some new colors (orange maybe) woulda been nice.

Besides the full fairing:

The seat has separate front and rear sections, and the rider’s seat features an innovative height adjustment mechanism. The seat can be set 20mm – just over 3/4 of an inch – higher for taller riders, a change that can make a big difference on an all-day ride

Interesting.... looks nice.

Well, looks like my decision to buy the FZ6N S2 2008 was a good one... 1000+ miles and 3 weeks later, I have had a blast, and also got a great deal compared to buying a 2009 bike.

The FZ6R looks, well, hmm, interesting. Is it me, or does it suffer looks wise from the lack of the exhaust? It seems front heavy somehow, with admittedly good looking front end, but it just fades away at the end of the bike compared to a normal FZ6... it could have done with keeping the central high exhausts imho.

If I was buying a Yamaha Sports 600, it would *have* to be an R6, or I'd feel like I was getting short changed somehow. Meh, maybe it's just me!

The FZ6R has narrower rear tire (160 vs. 180) and lower seat height, so I think Yamaha is targeting to the beginner market (e.g. Suzuki GSX650F).

I am glad the FZ6 has no change from the 2008, other than a higher price....

looks like the replacement of the YZF600R that they stopped making in 07, but i wouldn't say cheapened, i would say de-tuned.

Yeah, "de-tuned" is a good word. I am dissapointed nonetheless. At first glance I assumed it was "re-tuned" for the better / sportier...

I still dig the styling. The single headlight and those scoops look hot on a FazeR.
