Probably would have been a good idea to start a new thread for the question but.....
Absolutely not. The prices we pay are so inflated by exchange rates and import duties that you pay triple what everything costs in the US, when our dollar is worth over 90 of their cents.
Even with shipping every item I've looked at has been between 25-50% cheaper from the US.
There probably are some items you'll get cheaper from Aus, but only those produced here, and generally the US probably makes them as well, at a similar or cheaper price since the market there is alot larger.
Unless you pay a VERY large amount to import from the US compared to from Australia, or your dollar is suffering against theirs I can't see it being worthwhile.
Oh and its also -ALOT- harder to get stuff for our bikes here than from the UK or US.
