Will there be a 2010 FZ6 sold in the states?

Have come across a few dying breed threads of the fz6 in the US. Anyone?

No one knows yet... and no one will know for sure until the model line up is released... there are just a few indicators that suggest it might be coming to an end

IIRC, Yamaha typically releases their next-year model lineup sometime in September at their dealer show. If that's still the case, we should know very, very soon whether they've decided to kill our beloved FZ6.

Unfortunately, from all the "indicators" that necrotimus mentions, my money is on the death of the FZ6, at least as we know it. Damn shame if that's the case.

Well they may kill the 'FZ6' but replace their 'Sport Tour' model with a rebranded name. It would be silly to kill their low priced Sport Tour Model. I think the '6' in FZ6 is the CC rating for 600cc? Maybe they will make an FZ7? 700 or 750cc? hmmmm

Possible, but it makes sense financially to keep the 600. With the engine as is they don't have to go making a whole new engine, just keep on with the R6S one; saves a lot of money. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll just give it a slight redesign...like a split seat

Do what Triumph did with the Speed Triple. Get the sportbike, make it naked, better ergos.

i'm wondering if the fz6r is the indication that they may drop 2 model lines the fz6 and the yzf-600r??? is it possible that they tried to make an all purpose bike to stream line assembly?

Sept. 8th is the day I'm waiting for. Totalled my 07 a couple of months ago. Waiting to see what the 2010's look like to make a decision. If they are unchanged I will probably go with a new 09. I'd hate to see the FZ6 die.

i cant see how yamaha is going to kill the fz6 line.. what would they end up with for beginers??? fz6r, r6s or r6??? look at other manufacturs lines, they have multiple "beginer" bikes.. if yamaha was to kill the fz6 and offer no replacement, then i would say thats a really stupid move.. but we'll all know in a month of 2
