Will Novus work to fix these scratches on the matte black plastic piece of the fairing (Yamaha calls it the MOLE piece)? Or is that stuff just for shiny plastic?

Will Novus Plastic Polish work on this?

it might work, but i think that it might make it shiny... i have seen people use it on the matte plastic exhaust guards and turn them shiny...
If it's going to work at all, you will need to use the #3 polish, which is the one used to get out deep scratches, then go to the # 2 then finally the #1. One thing about Novus, it takes a lot of elbow grease to get the scratches out. I use the #1 all the time to clean my visor and windscreen.
