When can you call your bike a Steetfighter?

friend of mine has an '05 r1. he got tired of having a bike that looked like everbody elses. he sold the fairings on ebay and started from there.
flat-black spraycan paintjob
he cut the subframe directly behind the seat and consequently--no mufflers
has tried several different headlight configurations
extended swingarm and raised, yes raised, the bike
think Mad Max hillclimber bike

the pictures aren't great, but you can still see that it aint a stocker:thumbup:

He completely destroyed the bike... What a shame...

to me a street fighter is a bike that has no fairings, usaully all black or at least one color. looks mean and not like every other street bike out their. now this is a street fight to me.

Aint much more i can turn black! plus i like the contrast between black & chrome,polished, stainless.

As for the headlight....FZ6N headlight is a nice looker i reckon, FZ1 headlight slightly better, and the Buell headlight, slightly funkier again....also like the headlight on the new Honda CB1000R

But seeing as my FZ6 was a N model for a start, headlight conversion has been low on my list of stuff to do.

Lol, that's how it starts, you add things...then you start replacing stuff!!!

As for the headlight, as i said before, there are other really nice lights out there...but it aint broke, and it aint butt ugly, so it's staying....for now...

i must admit there are some great looking aftermarket, self fabricated, or modded headlights around for streetfighters, especially in Europe! And it's very tempting...

I know its ugly, but in person it has a strange appeal to it.

I'd leave the swing-arm stock, so that I'd still have the handling as well as the straight-line speed, but other than that one minor criticism... that bike is pure porn and I'd give various major irreplaceable body parts to own it.
