What's your dream project?

I had a Datsun 510 some years ago and the available funds never matched my desire to trick it out. I'd love to have one again.

And +1 on the RD350. I used to drool over those as a kid. My brother had a Kawasaki triple two-stroke. I don't remember the displacement but that thing was a blast.

They'll fuel inject without any problems. Here's a link to a guy who did an EFI conversion on his two stroke wave runner.

So the injectors don't care about the two stroke oil.

we have a 79 911 Carrera that is completely built. Carbon fiber everything, Custom engine (High compression pistons, bored out dual sparkplug, new rockers, everything but the case), very large turbo, MoTec system, and a lot more. Just got it back from the shop after destroying a cylinder from a valve break. Had it re-dyno'ed at 783 WHP and 476 ft pounds of torque. I dont have pics with me here in Iraq, but i will see what i can do about getting some if you would like

WOW! What a cool car! I'd love to see photos.

I've had a few, a '69 911E, an '87 Targa and an '02 Carrera.

The Targa was pretty trick, hi-comp pistons, SC cams, Ti goodies in the motor, SSI headers, '73 Sport Muffler (loud!), custom chip, and we did something to the MFS (can't remember specifics now) etc, etc. etc. dyno'd with 249 at the wheels. I was going to go MoTec but sold it and bought the '02. The '02 smoked it!

I think you'd need a seat belt on that thing! What an amazing bike.
 
I want to do a frame-off restoration of an old 70's muscle car. I haven't picked out a car yet (may be whatever I can get my hands on at the time), but I still want to do it someday.
 
I recently received a 1997 Jeep Cherokee. It's my current project and I've been wanting to build a XJ ever since I got my first one in 2000. The dream is beginning...

Went from sitting and not running to running and driving in one weekend of work so far. Now I gotta start electrical (gauges and radio and dome light are non-functioning and shorted out somewhere while the AC has been rewired in a messed up way).

Then it's on to the real building...:sinister:

My buddy's got an 87 CJ-7 that's his project, though it's a slow going project when he's half-way around the world for all but 6 weeks of the year. He's paying a guy to replace the engine so it's ready when he gets home next week, so at least it'll run without dumping oil everywhere.

That's awesome. CJ's can be built tough, but XJ's are awesome expo rigs which is what I'll be going for. About 3-4.5 inch lift, 31's, lockers, skids, rails, lights, etc...

I hear that!!! LOL ,I allway's said i'de run for Mayor when I get in my 50's,and I hoped to run for Govenor after that.if that work's out for me I should have enough connection's to be able to retire comfortably!!:D:rockon: P.S. this is the rambling's of a sweaty over worked mechanic...LOL
