I just keep the oem toolkit w/ some additional allen wrenches and a bottle of water. That way if I ever get stranded in the middle of nowhere, I will be able to survive a little longer without dying of dehydration. Maybe I'll be able to walk to civilization or something, idk. I just always like to have water with me.... haha

Under the seat just a simple tool kit (Allen Wench, screw driver, tire gage).

Wow, great to see what other people are carrying with them on regular rides. I really like my tank bag, but don't like to have it with me all the time. I think I'll look for one of those allen key tools and see what I can remove from the factory tool kit.

I'm glad to see a lot of people use a leatherman/gerber/other type of multi tool. I have one in both my vehicles and keep one on me whenever I'm camping. They've come in handy so many times I couldn't think of leaving one behind. Plus my tire repair kit won't do much if I can't get a nail out.

Wow, you all must have a lot more room than me. I have the FZ-1 and there is practically zero room under the seat. All I carry is registration, insurance and a St. Christopher medal.

Anything else I need goes in the tank back or a backpack which I bungee cord to the bike. My old Seca II had lots more room.

I keep registration and ins. papers in a ziplock and the tool kit and a set of allen-heads and sun tan lotion and skeeter-spray and a cloth and an extra 50 dollar bill in a tiny baggie (dont laugh, it has come in handy!) :thumbup: My 11 year old said that I should keep an extra key in there and I ALMOST did!! I felt like a FOOL for a second when I realised what I was doing When I told her that I acually needed the key to get in there, she said that was dumb. Who can argue with kid logic?

I see a number of folks carry their registration and other paper work under their seat. I stopped carrying personal info in my car after some of my stuff got stolen out of it one night. Now all reg & insurance stuff is in my wallet. They'll have to find some other way of stealing my ID now!

I agree completely! I have always thought it unwise to leave personal information in your vehicle. How easy would it be for a ne'er-do-well to go to a parking lot outside a football stadium at the beginning of a game or similar situation where he knows you will be for 3 or 4 hours, break into your car, steal your registration with your address and go ransack your house. Might even get a garage door opener to let him in. So I also carry such info in my wallet. With multiple drivers of a vehicle, it does require you to make copies of the pertinent information and insure that all drivers have a current copy in case they get stopped by a friendly LEO. (I did inquire with the Ohio State Patrol regarding the requirement to carry your registration. I was told that technically, non-commercial drivers do not have to carry it to present to an officer upon being stopped. Since they run your plate and have the owner information before they even approach the vehicle, there’s really no need to present the registration.)

Rainsuit gets squeased in there if I need more room in my tank bag.

All reg documents I keep in my jacket inside pocket. Never with the bike.
