They actually had a triple back in the late 70's, early 80's. XS750/850.

That's actually the bike I first learned how to ride on! 1977 Yamaha xs750 triple!

SO MUCH TORQUE.
Here she is!

Anyone notice the fine print: TBW?? Throttle By Wire? No more cable. You can page the engine room for throttle changes; "Captain, we need more Power!" lol

But you do get some choices in the power delivery and with the ECM taking over the throttle, idle speed and emissions are well in hand!

Blue wheels suck, but I'd sure like to ride it! Chris, you good for Sat Demo?? I know it won't be there... :(

I still can't believe they are coming out with this for so cheap. It's $100 more than a FZ6R, has almost double the horsepower, weighs 55lbs less, looks to have better brakes AND suspension....That $100 bill has never bought so much :D I don't know why they didn't come out with something like this in the first place; the FZ8 was a HUGE letdown for me. I can't wait to try one of these out! Hopefully they don't sell well and I can get one for way under MSRP in a year or so haha.

More Prices:

2013 SFV650 - $7,990
2013 Ninja 650 - $7,590
2013 Versus - $7,990
2013 Street Triple - $9,390
2013 Shiver 750 - $9,490

Yamaha better make a lot of these, because when i think they are at the dealer. a lot of people will have a hard time justifying paying either the same or more, for less of a bike (suspension, power, weight)..

Let's be honest... This isn't a tourer, a super sport or a sports tourer... You won't be taking this on 1000 mile cross country rides...

It's a hooligan bike...

And I want one!

I want to like this bike; I really do, but the aesthetics are killing me.

Rear end is horrible. Flow of the tank through the seat reminds me of a dual sport. Front headlight is too small and gives off the dual sport vibe as well.

Just not into it.
