I was cruising the Internet Archive and decided to look up the forum for kicks. Here is what the site looked like a year ago yesterday:

FZ6-Forum Community

Ahh the good old days, when Nelly was Perryn, Sportrider was Sportrider_FZ6, and wrightme43 seemed to be terribly afraid of zombies LOL.

Not all the links work and the images don't appear, but it's still fun to see the site when there were only 1000 members. Also, you have to be patient with the page loading speed.

There are other versions of the forum dating back to 2/22/07. Just go to the Wayback Machine on the internet archive and type in the forum URL.

awww the site was so young and cute back then.... I am just impressed that we have been able to keep it as friendly and family oriented as it has gotten so big

+1

Coming to this forum is such a relief after browsing other forums and being attacked almost every other post. Much props to all the mods for keeping the family feel for this forum!:thumbup:

+1000 on the forum being a family orientated place...i know i have no desire to get on the net, and be abused! I just wanna have a decent laugh with a few like minded people, who dont think they are better than anyone else.

Have made some very good friends via this joint!

Never did the forum thing because people being D*CKS but this place is great! The occasional friendly ribbing, but nothing to be considerred attacking anyone. You don't have to go too far *cough*sbn to find some unsavory people. U GUYS (and GALS) rock!

That other site is feral! As are many others. Am a member, but have spent about an hour in there, total.

As for this site, sheesh, i cant keep away.

I just want to say to all the member from the beginning, all the newer members, the moderators and mostly to ADMIN for starting the site...

3 bikes in 4 years has meant a lot of forum jumping..for me this is up there with the best,a stange phenomemon has happened here which has never happened before (with bike or car forums)..it really makes me proud to be an owner of my FZ6 and cant wait for the better weather,to get some miles done and share my experiences/pics with you lot

I don't know how it was a year ago cause i'm a new member here but i can imagine. The only thing i know is that this is the one of the best and friendliest forums!!!

yea i'm new as well, but what I've noticed is that when you ask something,
you actually get an answer instead of most online forums: "OMG NOOB haha u suck, maybe sell ur bike and get a car to be safe"

love the forum already :D

Much props to all the mods for keeping the family feel for this forum!

Definitely.

I've also migrated here from "the other one." It's pretty quiet over there these days.

Hey AJ, let's connect and go for a ride in the spring. (for the rest of you, it's currently 10 degrees outside, and we're expecting an overnight low of 2 degrees....fahrenheit. That's -16 for you celsius users)

Wow, a year ago I'd owned my FZ for all of 3 days and I'd been a member for all of one day!

Same as every post above. One of the friendliest places to go looking for info, or even just a chat with lots of great people.

Big props to Dennis, for starting this great site, gathering a good mob to moderate it, and above all, keeping it going.

I remember reading something from our esteemed Admin, that he never imagined it would take off like it did. Just rewards I say, for a well run and informative site about a great Bike

:)

Now your bike barely resembles an FZ6, and you either have way to much time or your hands or a very healthy obsession with your bike.

Think I came over from the darkside a little after you, and shortly after getting flamed for daring to speak my mind while in noob status.
