I love a good microbrew from time to time
One of our local VA breweries:
This stuff is one of the best beers I've ever had with a good steak...pure awesomeness.
I'm quite partial to Founder's Breakfast Stout. Unfortunately, they don't have any distributors in NY.

I got this in my beer of the month shipment last week I already finished them all it was only 3 of the 12. So good:thumbup:gotta try to find it locally now

Unfortunately it's only distributed in VA, MD, DE and Washington, DC. Same with so many good brews! I had an excellent stout in Michigan last business trip called Dragon's Milk.

I'm partial to Guinness if it's on tap. That or Smithwick's (pronounced Smittick's), which is brewed by Guinness. I actually requested both to be served at my wedding. The Smithwick's went over REALLY well, while only a few went for the Guinness (it was really hot, so I can't argue that one).
There's a local microbrew that makes a really good Cream Porter.
On the rare occasion, I'll pick up a 4-pack of Young's Double Chocolate Stout. That stuff's like liquid alcoholic candy.

There's a brewery in VT (not far from Ben and Jerry's) that only serves their beer at their bar/restaurant. They won't even fill growlers. You can only buy it by the pint. It's some good beer, which helps them a lot. But they're small, so really, supplying the bar is the only thing they can do.

There are so many beers just in that store alone, you'd need about 3 livers to get through it all.

I know two of my favorite breweries the Long Trail in Vermont and Wachussett brewery in Mass. only distribute in a few states and they have amazing beer. But they don't distribute in CA

Yea they are closing the 405 Freeway and the backup forecast has been upped to almost 60 miles in each direction. I live a mile from the freeway in the closed stretch should be interesting weekend. I will be sittign in my hottub drinking beer for most of it

Got Founder's Breakfast Stout in every store here in NJ. Very good beer, BUT.. if you ever get a chance to try their KBS ( Founders KBS (Kentucky Breakfast Stout) - Founders Brewing Company - Grand Rapids, MI - BeerAdvocate ) that's a whole different level!! VERY hard to get though and stupid-expensive (worth it).
