What am I missing?

I found this hole the other day, and I have no idea what its for. I can't find anything in the service manual either. Its an '07. Thanks! :thumbup:

I think that's for mounting on the R6 I found the hole just outside the top-right of your picture more confusing.

I don't think there is anything missing, because my 07 has the same hole. I'll watch to see what others say just in case something is missing.

You have to remember that the engine was built for the Yamaha R6, so it's likely that there would be a mounting point that isn't used on the FZ6 and I remember somebody else mentioning on the forum a while back that the hole was a mounting point for the R6.

My '08 has the same hole. Not a clue what it is for other than to mount a Stebel Nautilus ???

Thanks for posting. I noticed it the first time I rode and wondered "what fell off"....A hole that big had to be something important. Mount for another application makes sense.
