Ambitious But Rubbish
Guess 200km didn't strike me as "very often" With dirt bikes (yes i know it's a whole different beast) you lube youre chain every 2 or 3 rides (probably 15 mi. in my case). As for the bike i ride now i lube it every couple of rides just out of habit, I don't see any harm in it. Also every time it rains or gets washed it gets a nice No-Toil lube (leftover dirtbike chain lube....does it's job very well).
Note: I looked for a pic of No Toil chain lube but can't seem to find it, i know it exists so i'll take a picture of the bottle i have and upload it tomorrow so you don't think i'm crazy! :thumbup:
