In short most sales of office 2010 are extinct (US English) and those that do exist for less than $250 USD look pretty shady.

So, if anyone has a site they know and trust that has a copy for less I'd love to know about it.

Here is a $10 option sponsored through MS but I don't have company in my pocket with Volume Licensing to make this viable. It does offer office 2013 Pro Plus for $10 tho.
Microsoft Home Use Program - Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013. The software suite includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, Access and more!

Problem is I'm about to loose email access when my current subscription runs out so time matters.

Thanks for any help in advance!

Anyone have anything to offer??

Thanks!

The amount of money they charge for that stuff is ridiculous.

The outlook/hotmail website has built in and what appears to be a mostly functional Word implementation. Following that, investigate OpenOffice which offers the entire MS suite under an open source package(free!), and maybe even Google Docs. Fully functioning, and with full support for various MS type files. With all the great alternatives out there, I wouldn't give M$ a dime.

Do you need Word 2010 for a specific reason that might stop you from using an alternative? I don't see how you would lose your email access when your subscription to Microshills suite expires... Outlook and hotmail addresses are free to the public.

I grabbed this offer with my old company. You don't need email access from the company you signed up through for any longer than it takes you to sign up. As I recall, you receive an email from MS once you pay that contains a link to download the products.
Install and enjoy....they never ask for your company info again. Best deal is that the $10 company product license usually is good for up to three separate installations.

Hope this helps.

I just purchased Office 2013 Pro Plus for $39 (download) but only because I'm registered student (even though it's only a 1 week language trng course at Lake Tahoe). It was through CollegeBuys.org and is offered as a one-time deal for registered students. I lucked out! Know a current student?

Thanks everyone! All great ideas!

I have emails from days gone by all stored in Outlook through PST file and I like it as a client. But ya, I need the real thing for other reasons.
