Vortex 15T - Narrower than stock?

Hello all, I just have a couple quick questions. I just installed the Vortex 15T sprocket on my 08 and noticed that there is about 1mm of play in the sprocket laterally after reinstalling the nut and spacer. For any of you Vortex users, do you know if the Vortex sprocket is narrower than the stock 16T? I am confident that I have the nut and spacer tightened down as far as it can go. With this 1mm lateral movement, am I at risk of damaging anything?

Same thing happened to me...and it was more than 1 mm play. {520 conversion} I don't think that a countershaft sprocket should have any free play on the shaft. The stock sprocket was tight with zero free play...and in my opinion....the replacement should be the same. Not only that but the thinner aftermarket sprockets we buy for our FZ6's are offset.....meaning the center of the teeth is not the same as our stock sprockets were.

What i did was to measure from the engine case to the center of the teeth on the STOCK countershaft sprocket. I then SHIMMED with thin washers the new sprocket...until the measurement was the same. By the time you shim it....it WILL tighten down on the shaft like the stock one did. End of BOTH problems. :thumbup:
