Sorry guys but cant find this anywhere, i have one almighty v/s when braking hard on the front brake. So much so that when braking hard i have to release the front brake to re-engage again and again. Has anyone else experienced this, if so whats wrong with my bike.

Closest I can think of is my xs400. The lower fork clamps were loose so the lower end of the fork had some movement. Other than that I cant help you I'm afraid. Hope you can find it soon and it's nothing serious.

Could be a bent axle...only needs to be bugger all out to cause drama, had this happen on my Ducati, drove me nuts for months, till i worked out what was going on...

Thanks grommit i saw this but hadnt read it cause he said turns. This may be it, but ill tell you what it is violent, i have to release and regrip, and release and regrip. Thje stupid thing is im a mechanic, and do you think ive gone looking for the problem, no im a slack arse, a 4 year slack arse.

It hasnt seen a shop since it was new wolf, and since i stopped riding it full time after a year i keep putting it to the side.

Lol. Well the fork clamps are easy to check. Shove an allen key in the bolt and turn. Take longer to find the right allen key than to do the job. That knocks one possibility off the list then.:thumbup:

eh i looked at the bike and looked at the snap on tools and looked at the bike and grabbed a beer. Damn i wish i was a bit more worried about my safety. At least if im pissed enough i wont know its coming.

Well finally nutted out the front brake shudder, it was getting worse and worse, checked the front end again all was tight took pads out gave a good scuff on concrete hey presto gone. Ive had these shuddering brakes for almost as long as the bike, and it was that damn easy to fix.

Not even 10 000km yet rode bugger all after first year. No ABS just straight out glazed pads.
