I got an email from George White Motorcycles inviting me to the launch of the new R1 on 27 February. It is a bit far for me to go but something caught my eye:
The event will take place from 18.00 to 21.00 and there will be a national prize draw at 20.00 where you could be in with a chance of winning a brand new R1 worth £9999.
The competition can ONLY be entered via the Yamaha website, where you will be asked to nominate which dealership you will be in on the evening of the launch, www.yamaha-motor.co.uk/r1_competition (website goes live Tuesday 10th February at 17.00)
After the draw takes place at Yamaha HQ, the customer who's name has been drawn will be called at their nominated dealership, you must be in store to win as there will be a re-draw if no show.
The 1st prize is a new Yamaha R1 and 2nd prize is a VIP Moto GP weekend to Catalunya on 13/14th June.
