Turning engine off when it's hot

you can select a digital temp on your 2005 but I think it gives you the airbox temp, not the engine temp.........?

2 bars if it's cold and you're cruising, 4 bars if it's hot and you're killing it......but read the manual because it will flash and do some other things you should know about as well.

It doesn't matter if you shut it down.

If you leave the fan running, you are just adding run time to it, and wearing it out when the coolant isn't circulating, cooling nothing but the radiator.

The manual says to just shut it off and let it cool if it over heats, so why would normal operating temps be any different?

I just got home, shut the bike off, then remembered I want to check to see that I don't have any pebbles stuck in my fan, so I turned the key on and waited a few seconds to heat the fan running. No pebbles stuck in there yet:thumbup:
