Touring through northern Europe

... Or at least we did some of it

Started from Oslo friday night at 7 PM, arrived in Copenhagen at 1 AM. That's 600 km. Next day, covered Copenhagen to Lübeck in Germany in five hours. We took the long way round, through Odense and Flensburg. Roughly 600 km. Next day we turned around and went home, in other words we spent 22 effective hours, including stops, to cover 2400 km

At one time on the autobahn, I figured I wanted to test the top speed on my bike. I got 245 on the meter Great fun!

So you travelled from Norway through denmark into Germany and back. Saw almost nothing and probably met nobody. I just cannot see how it can be described as "great".

But if it made you happy, that is good enough.

You could have stayed in norway and done that. Ridden mile after mile after mile.

Hei capo, going off topic a bit but Norsk and Dansk are very similar right? so when you visited Denmark you can understand them and vice versa? Takk sounds like you had a great trip :rockon:

Apparently it's easier for the Norwegians and Swedes to understand each other than it is to understand the Danish, I've heard it described as the Norwegians and Swedes sing when they speak and the Danish rap haha.

Ok,- gotta put this right!! (The Danes and The Norwegians feels the same way about the swedes as the English feels about France).

Norwegian and Danish are quite close to each other language vise.
Therefore Danes and Norwegians can almost always understand each other.
This is not the case when it comes to Swedish!

My wife is Norwegian, - and hence we have a lot of Norwegian books, and it often takes me pages of reading before I realise that the book is Norwegian, - that's how close the Danish and Norwegian languages are.
