Yeah, Ed.. there's a parking lot on your left, right off Skyline Drive, shortly after you take exit 57 and merge into Skyline:

Lot off Skyline

Be careful.. if I'm not mistaken it's dirt/gravel. Meet there at 10?

Hubert, why don't we meet here on 9D just outside of the Bear Mountain Bridge? 9D at Bear Mountain Bridge

We should be there around 11:15.

Sounds good.

All this talk about leaves in another thread, is making me nervous.

Eric, you have been in the area recently as far as I recall correctly, how "leave-y" are the roads there?

Last thing I want to do is to wipe out on my two new wheels.

No leaves on ground last time I was there (few weeks ago), but I'm sure there will be some now. I plan to take it very easy in the curves.

I double backed to the run around and took the 9W south.

Of course there was some traffic there. Not that bad though.

Then i got on the Pallisides Parkway right before Washington bridge.

Next 1.5 hours I spent in a freaking traffic in the city.

Good lord, I was swimming in my own sweat.:(

However, the ride was pretty good.

I hope Ed and Eric got home safely too and hopefully with less traffic.

UGH!! Damn NYC!! I got home with zero traffic!! Ed and I took unknown to us road (cause my GPS decided to quit while we were on 6W) and it was amazing!! Brand new pavement.. freshly painted.. constant up/down and twisty.. VERY cool! No issues finding our way back after that.

I had a great time!! Thanks for the company, fellas!!

Ed, that beef jerky is amazingly good!!

great ride indeed! excellent scenery and conditions. getting lost on those roads was fantastic. i could spend all day around that seven lakes drive area.

eric - thx for checking out the bike, and also for letting me ride the 1 (bonus!). if joe hasn't already done so, i call dibs! :BLAA:

hubert - i sometimes complain about getting my bike out of the jersey city/hoboken area, but i know you must have it so much worse. hope you can find some better roads out because we should do this whenever the weather cooperates!
